{"product_id":"hotel-acatlan-first-day-by-david-hockney-framed-poster","title":"Hotel Acatlán First Day by David Hockney – Framed Poster","description":"David Hockney’s Hotel Acatlán First Day arrives as a framed poster—an invitation to step into a sunlit corner of Mexico’s rugged beauty. The scene unfolds with the quiet precision of a traveler’s first glimpse: a hotel courtyard bathed in the warm glow of an early afternoon. The walls here are a soft, muted ochre, softened by the play of light and shadow that falls across the terracotta tiles and weathered wooden furniture. The air feels thick with the scent of blooming jasmine, its delicate vines trailing across the frame like a living border. This is not the bright, saturated California of Hockney’s later works, but a more restrained palette—earthy tones tempered by the cool blue of distant mountains and the deep green of overhanging foliage. The composition pulls the eye through the courtyard’s open spaces, from the shadowed doorway to the distant pool, where the water reflects the sky like a mirror of time itself. There’s a stillness here, a moment frozen between the hustle of arrival and the quiet of settling in. It’s a snapshot of a place where the world moves slower, where every detail—from the cracked plaster to the peeling paint—tells a story of time and travel. The colors are rich but not overwhelming, the lines crisp but not harsh. This is art that feels lived-in, a piece that doesn’t just decorate but invites you to linger, to imagine the sounds of distant laughter and the rustle of palm leaves in the breeze. Hockney’s signature is absent here, but his hand is everywhere: in the way the light catches the edge of a tile, in the careful balance between chaos and order, in the way the scene feels both intimate and vast. It’s the kind of art that belongs in a space where conversation flows as easily as the colors bleed into one another. The frame itself is a neutral backdrop, letting the colors and lines breathe without competition. This isn’t just wall art; it’s a piece that will anchor a room, whether it’s the mid-century modern living room where the walls are painted in warm terracotta or the minimalist bedroom where the light streams in through large windows. It pairs effortlessly with the muted tones of a Scandinavian-inspired space or the bold hues of a maximalist bedroom, its earthy palette grounding even the most vibrant decor. The deep greens and ochres will echo in a study lined with books, or they’ll contrast beautifully against the crisp whites of a modern kitchen. It’s the kind of print that feels like a conversation starter—one that doesn’t demand attention but quietly holds it, like a favorite photograph from a trip you’d love to revisit. Perfect for an art lover’s collection or as a gift for someone who appreciates the quiet beauty of place, this framed poster is more than decor. It’s a piece worth keeping, a reminder of the world’s many corners, each one as rich and layered as the one you’re in. Bring it home, and let it be the calm or the spark at the center of your space.","brand":"Hockney Prints","offers":[{"title":"A2 (42 x 59.4  cm) \/ White frame","offer_id":50518685450374,"sku":"e53f8a09-daa8-46e3-b7c8-ada32bbd0435","price":249.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"A2 (42 x 59.4  cm) \/ Wood frame","offer_id":50518685483142,"sku":"5d07e134-7593-4d78-943d-8257e1cbc1a4","price":249.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"A2 (42 x 59.4  cm) \/ Dark wood frame","offer_id":50518685515910,"sku":"216e8617-84b5-4aa9-b651-fafb2fc6414c","price":249.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"A2 (42 x 59.4  cm) \/ Black frame","offer_id":50518685548678,"sku":"eac7e35e-dd01-42e2-b558-08334f438c00","price":249.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"A1 (59.4 x 84.1  cm) \/ White frame","offer_id":50518685581446,"sku":"894ae72d-b52f-4eda-867a-1ef3f40b50f8","price":329.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"A1 (59.4 x 84.1  cm) \/ Wood frame","offer_id":50518685614214,"sku":"9a653034-56f3-4dae-90b0-a8aa19079dd2","price":329.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"A1 (59.4 x 84.1  cm) \/ Dark wood frame","offer_id":50518685646982,"sku":"8e8bd8af-b038-44d4-b583-c185d032b820","price":329.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"A1 (59.4 x 84.1  cm) \/ Black frame","offer_id":50518685679750,"sku":"ae708f4b-f5c0-4d9c-afb2-2cb6041eff9b","price":329.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"60x90 cm \/ 24x36″ \/ White frame","offer_id":50518685712518,"sku":"a662264e-2e21-4165-908f-d2549db4e5c7","price":389.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"60x90 cm \/ 24x36″ \/ Wood frame","offer_id":50518685745286,"sku":"479d0479-f607-4c4e-9078-2e3c2e5e44e4","price":389.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"60x90 cm \/ 24x36″ \/ Dark wood frame","offer_id":50518685778054,"sku":"ea895e43-a3e7-4408-b801-0849be39b0ff","price":389.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"60x90 cm \/ 24x36″ \/ Black frame","offer_id":50518685810822,"sku":"60ca36dd-036a-4289-b35a-ab78a3d7b225","price":389.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"70x100 cm \/ 28x40″ \/ White frame","offer_id":50518685843590,"sku":"98404403-a295-4d33-8766-9965d4c1a7b6","price":429.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"70x100 cm \/ 28x40″ \/ Wood frame","offer_id":50518685876358,"sku":"c9fda8c5-9dab-47fa-93a3-5c4d1f0f9bbc","price":429.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"70x100 cm \/ 28x40″ \/ Dark wood frame","offer_id":50518685909126,"sku":"c03db1bb-0a0a-4bbd-b6e6-877104510cfb","price":429.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"70x100 cm \/ 28x40″ \/ Black frame","offer_id":50518685941894,"sku":"0abfda2a-cb18-41e5-a7d2-372663d30f9f","price":429.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0714\/1618\/4966\/files\/1301df8b-d6e0-4993-b55d-acd2252b54c3.webp?v=1790335997","url":"https:\/\/davidhockneyartworks.com\/products\/hotel-acatlan-first-day-by-david-hockney-framed-poster","provider":"Hockney Prints","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
